Okay, busy weekend, at least Saturday. I guess I should take this opportunity to bring you up to date on everything going on in my life!
On tuesday 19 Feb I had a dental that didn't go as well as I would have liked. I lost a lot of my teeth. The good thing is that after the surgury and the scary bleeding I am recovering nicely and all the pain is gone. I'm back to eating regular food, with a little canned thrown in for taste! I'm once again tossing stuffies into the air and catching them!
On Saturday 23 Feb I went with my foster dad to a Meet N Greet in Leonardtown MD. It was really fun and I got to meet Rancho, Chellie, Hot, Phil, Miley, Donner (who is also looking for a forever home) Valerie and Reina. I really liked Reina, or at least she liked me, cause she never grumbled at me like she did at the other greys. Her mom liked me too and wanted to take me home! Rancho was a trip, he was afraid of the hardwood floors at the PetValu and they put little bath mats out so that he could walk to the door without slipping! Good thing he has an awesome forever home with a mom and dad that is patient with him.
After the Meet N Greet I was ready to go home but my foster dad said we had to go to Greyhound Central for something called a Board Meeting, it was kind of like a Meet N Greet but with people who all sat around and talked about greyhounds, come to think of it, thats what they do at MNG's too!
Anyway, I met lots of important people and I made sure that I was on my best behavior! Must have worked cause my foster dad told everyone that I was an awesome dog and everyone agreed, really, I'm not kidding, everyone liked me! My foster dad said I would be good as an only dog, a second dog, good with cats and small dogs, good with kids and good with people.....what more can there be?
So if you are looking for an awesome, middle age dog, with less teeth than most, then I'm your guy!!
Oh and I don't get on the furniture either and I come with my own bed, a raincoat, a regular coat and two sweaters...what more could a family want from a greyhound? I'll even rooo if you need me to!!
Put in that application now cause someone is going to be really lucky to adopt me and then you'll be sorry you didn't jump when you had the chance!

Hi there, it's me Harvey, Watch Him Begood! Not conceited but that was my racing name. I was bounced from my home after three years. My mom got married and then had a baby and there was just no room for me cause they lived in small townhouse with a very tiny backyard. Plus I need dental work that they couldn't afford. So I have come back to Greyt Expectations in the hope that they can find me a new home with a huge backyard and lots of space inside. Although I would be happy with walking on lead cause that is what I have been doing for the last three years.
Anyway, enough about that, I am approx 80 lbs. and seven years old. I love to be petted, play with stuffies, take walks, eat, ride in cars, run with other greyhounds, I am totally house trained, did I mention eat....I really like people and those really furry things, I guess they are cats. I can do stairs too. I didn't know much the last time I was adopted but this time I am prepared....I can do everything. Oh but I really don't like those things called crates....I don't like being locked up. I don't mind baby gates though cause then you still have a big room to stretch out in.
With everything I have learned in the last three years I think I would be able to live anywhere and do well. I know that I am a little older than most of the greyhounds that are available but hey, I'm so much better behaved then they are....a lot less work then a newbe...most of that training and dicipline stuff is done already. I'm not available right now cause I'm having my teeth cleaned and polished on Tuesday but after that I will be ready to go! By the time your application is approved I will have nice clean teeth and good smelling breath so that you can hug and pet on me all day!!!!
So take a chance and put in an application to adopt me! You won't regret it!
